Room information

At the Sur Hotel the rooms are clean and individually decorated in a tasteful fashion. Comfortable beds provide a good night's sleep. Some rooms also offer a balcony. The hotel's Family Rooms and Suite also offer views of the Marmara Sea. Rooms also offer a wake-up service and 24-hour room service.

Food & beverage

We welcome you with traditional Turkish hospitality and hope to ensure a comfortable and wonderful stay. Included in the room rate is breakfast, served on the terrace with wonderful views of the Marmara Sea and Princes' Islands. Our lobby is the best and most quiet place to relax after busy Istanbul days. The terrace is also open 24-hours for drinks, including a good selection of wines.

Area information

The hotel is surrounded by historic reminders of the Byzantine Empire. Byzantine and Ottoman Monuments such as St. Sophia and the Basilica Cistern are close by. Other cultural highlights, including the Hippodrome, Turkish Carpet Museum, Spice Bazaar, Cemberlitas Hamami (Turkish Bath) and the Cağaloğlu Bath, are very easily reached on foot. Other nearby attractions include: Blue Mosque (100 metres) - one of Istanbul's biggest mosques, built in 17th century and one of the principal adornments on the city's skyline. Famous for its blue tiles and 6 minarets. Topkapi Palace Distance (150 metres) - the former imperial residence from where the great Ottoman Empire was ruled. Today a spectacular museum that has one of the largest collections of Chinese and Japanese porcelain and the famous treasury of the Royal Family. Grand Bazaar (500 metres) - the largest covered market in Istanbul. In addition to its historical importance, it's a bazaar that will tempt even non-shoppers with its rich collection of precious handmade carpets, jewellery, leather and souvenirs.
