Sultanahmet, 5 YTL (2 Euro e mezzo circa)

This Ottoman palace was originally built for the influential Ibrahim Pasa, the beloved childhood friend, brother-in-law and grand vizier of Suleyman the Magnificent.
The carpets, calligraphy, pottery and wooden inlaid chests on show here are simply superb.
With the same ticket, you can visit also the Ethnographic Museum downstairs where you can learn about the lifestyle of the Turks and their ancestors.
